The actual MAP sensor is the one mounted on the frame with two fittings, one fitting is open to atmosphere and the other has a vacuum hose connected. The sensor mounted to the air box is IAP sensor, intake air pressure sensor connected to all 4 throttle bodies by vacuum hose. No they are not interchangeable, the both measure different pressures. From the 6.0 Diesel Updates course book, "The IAT1 sensor on the 6.0 diesel engine performs the same function as the IAT on the 2003/2003 7.3L engine. The PCM uses the changes in IAT1 voltage to determine the current ambient air temperature. The IAT2 on the 6.0 diesel engine performs the same function as the manifold air temperature (MAT
My '07 Wee with 25,000 miles on it had the FI indicator come on the other day, along with the red indicator light. Although not running perfectly, I made it home, and jumpered the diagnostic plug, and it indicated the intake air pressure sensor was giving bad readings. So I wiggled it in its plug and cleaned the contacts, but it didn't help.

These barometric air pressure sensors stay precise and accurate between a wide range of temperatures, and their low power consumption ensures long-lasting performance. They are a foundational piece of IoT devices directed towards a market with billions of consumers who live life on the go. Industrial pressure sensor applications

Pressure sensors are calibrated by applying known pressures and adjusting the output: Using pressure controllers or dead weight testers. Measuring output at zero (vacuum), 25%, 50%, 100% of full scale pressures. Adjusting gain and offset trim resistors to get desired output.
So, I had a feeling it wasn't the correct sensor. But I replaced it anyway. Nothing changed. the sensor voltage was .97V. The sensor I replaced was(###) ###-####UM. I believe the the other sensor they gave me is mounted on the intake manifold. I disconnected that sensor while watching pressure and voltage as well and the numbers didn't change. mzLc.
